星の光を意味する「HOSHIKAGE（星影）」

「HOSHIKAGE」は、ジョージ・ヤブとグレン・プシェルバーグがデザインした初めてのテーブルウェアシリーズです。「HOSHIKAGE」は星の光を意味する「星影」という言葉に由来し、とらえどころのない星々の光景から着想を得ています。幅広い色調を駆使したこのコレクションは、クリエイティブな食卓のインスピレーションとなるデザインが特長です。光･色･質感で幻想的な表情を表現することで、銀河の美しさをテーブルに映し出す｢HOSHIKAGE｣は、私たちを神秘的な宇宙へと誘い、広大な宇宙と日常の食卓が同時に存在していることの奇跡を思い起こさせます。”宇宙の果てしない深み”を表現するために、プリミティブな質感の窯変釉と独自の加飾技術をさまざまに組み合わせることで、デザインに奥深さを出しました。生地にはノリタケ独自の素材｢プレミアムホワイト」を採用し、プリミティブな質感ながらもシャープさと耐久性も兼ね備えた、新しいコレクションです。
HOSHIKAGE is the first tableware line by George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, inspired by their early fascination with craftsmanship and materiality. Featuring minimalist forms in natural tones from chalk to slate, the collection invites creative layering and elevates everyday dining into celestial experiences. Drawing from a night sky seen from their beach house, the pieces evoke galactic beauty. Each item is uniquely glazed using the traditional Japanese yohen technique, producing iridescent textures that celebrate imperfection. Crafted by Noritake, the collection reflects exceptional artistry through a complex process of layering reactive glazes and firing at high temperatures, resulting in a shimmering depth that mirrors the vastness of the universe.

Yabu Pushelberg is a design studio that creates places and products—immersive environments, captivating destinations, and thoughtfully crafted products. Founded in 1980 by George Yabu and Glenn Pushelberg, the studio began with a focus on interior design and has since evolved to encompass a broad spectrum of human experience. With offices in New York and Toronto and a team of over a hundred creatives and professionals, Yabu Pushelberg integrates strategy, interior design, product development, lighting, textiles, and styling. The studio’s approach goes beyond aesthetics, emphasizing how design makes people feel.
